Parker Woodland makes emotionally charged, anthemic indie rock -- or as one fan called it, "workout jams for toppling the patriarchy."

We are a band -- not a person (as the name sometimes suggests) -- named for an intersection in our neighborhood of Austin, TX (Parker Lane and Woodland Avenue).

Our music is intersectional, too. Lead Singer Erin Walter is known as an activist in an array of justice movements in Texas (currently in the finals for Activist of the year in the Best of Austin poll). Parker Woodland band members bring diversity of gender and sexuality to our songs and live shows, and we are proud to be releasing our first single off this album, "Makeup," during Pride month, with an emphasis on trans rights and music community mental health (teaming up with the SIMS Foundation in Austin).

These 10 songs let out all the pent-up emotion and longer-for adventures Parker Woodland built up during the pandemic shut down. Even at under 34 minutes, There's No Such Thing as Time is a vast, dynamic concept record that reckons with life on our planet, torn between love for what is and the need to escape it.
