No one taught me to play. I just started when I was a kid. I’ve learned from so many. From local Houston blues man Tony Vega who invited me onstage as an aspiring 18 yr old guitarist to weekly work and European touring as a 22 yr old musician with New Orleans Bourbon Street sax man Gary Brown. Steady playin from ‘06-‘11 with some serious New York players taught me more (Al Street, Adam Scone, Ian Hendrickson Smith, High & Mighty Brass Band, Smoota, Adam Falcon) while playing lead guitar and national touring on a tour bus for the MTV pop punk band Just Kait took my musical educations even...

Connecting with Bay Area Lugnut Brand Records in 2011 introduced more beautiful music endeavors. And since 2012, Austin, Tx the Wormhole Records family in Houston and playing lead guitar alongside Texas legend Alejandro Escovedo has helped bring it together even more for Buenos Diaz.

Opened in 1990, the Saxon has hosted well over 22,000 musical performances. It has been the location for films, videos and countless live recordings. On any given night you might see a major celebrity from the film or music industry either having a beer or sitting in on stage jamming with the locals. This award-winning listening room has helped launch the careers of several prominent entertainers. It is also known for booking some of the greatest music legends around, performing in an intimate atmosphere that Kris Kristofferson likened to “playing in his own living room.”
