We have all been “week dazed” once or 52 times. Week dazed is the long sigh of relief after the work week. It is the indulgence of our vices. The stress traveling with us in our lunch bag. Week dazed is many of us.
WKDZD is the identity that local rap hero Camilo Fernandez has taken up. A Hip-Hop artist from south Austin, Tx and a member of the Austin Hip-Hop staple Die Slo rap collective. Formally known as Stat 1, WKDZD premiered his debut single “Moments in space” with a visual by Big & Little Productions and a write up by Ovrld.com in 2021. Since then, he has opened up for “R.a. The Rugged Man” in front of a sold out crowd at the legendary Flamingo Cantina venue in Austin, Tx. WKDZD has performed at several of events including fundraisers at the renowned “Purple Bee TV” compound and The South By Southwest Music Festival as an official artist with Die Slo. WKDZD is now gearing up to release his long awaited project “The Maze: 1st issue” (lofi concept) and his EP series “Weekdazed and Confused” (psych trap).
