We are an Indie/Folk Rock band from Waco, TX with roots in the Central Texas Metal scene from the late naughts. In 2018 we quietly released our first EP, a fully acoustic DIY record entitled “Set me Free.” Immediately after its release we began working on a second album, and unfortunately faltered soon thereafter due to Covid, ultimately choosing to take a step back – nearly giving up altogether.
However, upon our return in 2022, we picked up the reigns and started over on the album we had nearly finished 2 years earlier. Empowered by our own cognitive dissonance and societal dissatisfaction following the pandemic, we re-approached our music – embedding our losses within it.
We believe we’ve made something more powerful, complex, and honest, with a slight edge. There is cozy juxtaposition in our music, offering all the comforts and pains that authenticity brings. We hope it is as meaningful for our listeners to take in as it was for us to create. That’s the goal for us.
