Tarah New is a singer/songwriter from Corpus Christi, Texas. She performed all over Texas as a kid, and then moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to pursue her music further. In L.A. she sang lead in several bands and solo projects, and performed all over the U.S. and Hawaiian islands. After 10 years in L.A. she had the opportunity to audition for the legendary actor, Danny Trejo in 2016. He signed her to his record label, Trejo’s Music, and she worked with him for 8 years performing, recording, and releasing music.
Recently, she decided to get back to her musical roots in Texas. She moved to Austin in 2023 while still singed to Trejo’s Music, and put her current band together “Tarah New & The Crew”. In the last year, she’s written an album’s worth of new songs (which her talented bandmates learned with expert speed), and her and her band now play shows all around Austin. They also just released their first single as a band, “Motorcycle Man”, and are about to release their second single “Keep On Coming Back To You”.
Tarah works as an independent artist now. She is grateful for her 17 years of learning, singing, paying dues, and growing as an artist in Los Angeles. But she is SO happy to be back in her home state of Texas, and very excited to finally have complete creative freedom to make her own music.
