Sierra Bryan, based out of Flagstaff, AZ, blends spunky-indie rock with warm, folksy introspection – often employing grungy electric guitars and beautiful cello arrangements alike. Her sound draws inspiration from other femme musicians such as Sharon Van Etten, Beabadoobee, and Liza Anne with musical influences from the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov and Joni Mitchell.
Her debut album “Breathing In, Breathing Out” showcases her sometimes-melancholy-sometimes-goofy approach to songwriting that holds storytelling at the center of her lyrics. And in 2023, she seeks to match the darker, moodier tones of shoegaze bands such as Wolf Alice and Daughter along with more mature lyrics dealing mental health and the challenges of pursuit music — and taking a duo arrangement of her new sound on tour this fall!
