SHAZ is an Austin, TX based singer-songwriter who just released her debut EP in Dec 2022. Raised by her parents and grandmother in South Florida, SHAZ grew up listening to Nat King Cole, Etta James, & Nancy Sinatra endlessly while beginning her classical piano training at age 5. SHAZ’s passion for music colored her childhood & early adult life in many ways, but usually took a backseat to expectations of traditional education & career until she moved to Austin, TX and metamorphosized into a soul who acknowledged the importance of living your life from the Inside, Out. SHAZ’s debut EP, Inside Out, was a product of collaborations with UK-based LoFi artists Pointy Features & AJMW, maintaining the LoFi undertone with a bit of dream pop / alt-RnB spice.
