River Jones

River Jones is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Born in Arizona, he started playing music at the age of five. He had internships with Elektra Records and the Beasties Boys’ Grand Royal label while in high school. Interested in pursuing both the artistic and the business sides of music, River moved to Los Angeles to simultaneously work for Madonna’s record label Maverick and as a touring drummer. In 2005, River Jones Music / BMG was formed to discover artists, sign new talent, and help artists record their albums. River moved to Austin in 2013 to search for new bands to sign, but he was inspired by the city and started songwriting again. His debut album Visions was a transition back to being a solo artist. River played the majority of the instruments on the album and recorded and mixed it on a minimal recording set-up at home. He was a showcasing artist at SXSW in 2017 and released the full album in 2020. His new label Atomic Milk started signing bands in March of 2020.
