promqueen is built on authenticity, vulnerability, tự nhiên (being natural), quirkiness, and cultural pride. With her Cambodian-born producer, waverly, promqueen writes music for herself, her family, and for other Asian Americans who have ever struggled with “not being Asian enough” while simultaneously “not being American enough.” 2023 will see the release of her debut EP szn one in its entirety, a prom-themed AAPI Heritage Month showcase in May, and stripped arrangements + collaborations dropping during the “off szn.”
