Porter and The Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes

Porter & the Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes was lead by Chris Porter, a native of Pell City, Alabama who relocated to Austin, Texas to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. Before moving to Texas, he fronted the Back Row Baptists and Some Dark Holler in Alabama. He released a solo album called This Red Mountain in 2015, just prior to forming the Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes. Before the group could release its debut album, he and bandmate Mitchell Vandenburg were killed in an auto accident in North Carolina on October 19, 2017; Adam Nurre was hospitalized in the accident. The album Don’t Go Baby It’s Gonna Get Weird Without You was released posthumously in late 2017. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
