Painter Fingers is the recording project of Travis Charles Hagan, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Austin area in Texas. After releasing his debut single ‘Working For Ghosts’ amidst the global pandemic, Travis has continued to evolve his style, crafting a string of indie-tinged releases that explore themes of isolation, anxiety, healing, fatherhood, and more. Also, Mr. Hagan is a public school teacher, and those experiences often inform his writing. The “How Summer Flies” EP released in 2022 examines what it is like raising a child in a country almost routinely plagued with gun violence. Painter Fingers’ forthcoming LP, tentatively titled “The Truth Is a Hurricane” is expected to be finished later this summer.
