mozworth

Based in Austin, Texas, Michael “Boz” Bosworth, known musically as mozworth, may be a new name to many, but his music is rooted deeply in the human experience, weaving together personal reflections and imaginative storytelling. Growing up in the small town of Logan, Iowa, during the 90s, Boz was drawn to the skateboarding subculture, which helped shape his broad and eclectic musical tastes.

The mozworth project was born out of a desire for a fresh approach to songwriting. To escape the distractions of everyday life, Boz began taking annual trips, spending time in secluded cabins for the sole purpose of gaining perspective and writing music. These sessions, held in Minnesota, Kansas, and Colorado, eventually led to the creation of six songs that make up his forthcoming debut.

After moving to Austin, Texas, and being steeped in the vibrant music scene it was time for the songs to see the light of day. Boz rallied friends and musicians local and remote to join forces in publishing something truly unique.

“Postcard” is the first single and example of mozworth’s sound that takes inspiration from the freedom of skateboarding culture combined with 90s angst and energy through a lens of well-crafted introspective lyrics.
