Originally formed by Mikky Rib (vocals) and Morgan Davis (bass, synth) as a recording project, Mikky & the Doom combines the anthemic hooks and flashy style of indie acts like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Strokes and Metric with the sleazy, sex positive swagger of Peaches and the gritty low end of bands like Mclusky and Les Savy Fav. Now featuring Travis Kohnhorst on guitar and Cesar Reyes on keys, the core four members of Mikky & the Doom are about to release their debut EP Garbage, USA, produced by Last Gang Records’ Mobley and can be seen on stages throughout Austin, including appearances at Hot Luck Festival and Club X at 13th Floor.
