Eddie Wrevlonne

Eddie Wrevlonne is the indie-electronic bedroom-pop solo project of vocalist / multi-instrumentalist / songwriter Edward Wagner from Wrevlonne and Hearts Fail. The word “quirky” immediately comes to mind upon hearing Eddie’s stentorian, full-bodied baritone voice (reminiscent of Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields) play against charming retro synth stylings that draw comparisons to early Depeche Mode, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, and Nation of Language. Add to that a hint of playful wit, tongue-in-cheek lyrics covering topics ranging from the meaning of life to kitchen-sink melodrama, and a complete picture begins to come into focus.

Eddie Wrevlonne officially began as a side-project to Wagner’s post-punk outfit Hearts Fail, with 2014’s “Glow” EP (released only on Soundcloud and Bandcamp). After 10 years of life lived and music written, including time in Eddie’s indie-pop band Wrevlonne, Eddie has just re-released “Glow” on all streaming platforms on Aug. 22nd, 2024. Not one to dwell on the past, Eddie released the single “True Romance” on Sept. 10th, 2024, in a fun, poppier style more indicative where the project is heading. The remainder of 2024 will see Eddie Wrevlonne releasing an as-of-yet unnamed EP.
