Dad’s Home is an Austin based pop-punk quintet, dedicated to delivering a raw and authentic brand of pop punk that’s nostalgically familiar to fans of the genre. Drawing influences from bands such as Saves the Day, Motion City Soundtrack, Say Anything and Jimmy Eat World, the singalong melodies and driving riffs continue to define the nostalgic pop-punk sound of Dad’s Home.
It wasn’t until the Summer of 2022 that Jeff Stringer and Eric Braun decided to sit down and finally record the first demo. From there, the Dads went on to release their debut EP, My Sitcom Life, on the eve of 2023. Jack Anderson of KUTX 98.9 describes the EP as being “delightfully uncouth…following the concrete-scuffed footsteps of their pop-punk forefathers”.
Since the release of their debut EP, Dad’s Home have delivered two new singles this year with the release of “Automatic Reply: No Thanks” and “Sundae”. Dad’s Home plans to perform several shows in the Fall of 2023 leading up to the recording of their sophomore EP in early 2024 entitled Weird Summer EP.
