Austin’s Newest Salsa Band “Salsa de La vieja escuela con un nuevo estilo.” Lead Singer, Trumpet and Band Leader cofounded Combo Chévere with Assistant Director Danny Rodriguez (Timbales) and Frank Cano (Piano) in Summer 2024. Having played together with La Tradición in the Underground Salsa Scene in Austin for years, they decided to recruit Chris Murphy (Trombone), Ben Bradshaw (Bass) and René Gonzalez (Conga) to join them on this next step. Combo Chévere is currently taking the Austin Salsa Scene by storm and have already released original music.
