Christina Cavazos

Christina Cavazos has been a staple in the Austin music scene since she was in high school with the release of her first EP “About You” a collaboration with Taylor Muse, the lead singer of Austin band Quiet Company, in 2016. Her next project, a 2017 EP titled “Cold”, made in collaboration with Louie Lino (Nada Surf) brought Cavazos critical acclaim as a songwriter and heralded her staying power as an artist in Austin and beyond. Cavazos collaborated with musician Charlie Magnone on her next project, “Mile Marker”, an astoundingly mature and realized EP drawing from inspirations like Aimee Mann, Gilian Welch, Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift. This collaboration lead to the release of ‘Oceans’, Cavazos’ most streamed song yet, over 100,000 listens and counting, and her first release while studying at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, a highly competitive program behind the meteoric rise of Maggie Rogers, FLETCHER, producers Take a Daytrip and countless other talents. Alongside being one half of the indie rock duo Lone Lake, Cavazos currently resides in Nashville and is working on finishing her fourth solo EP, to be released in 2024. Cavazos’ expanding list of accolades and accomplishments includes being selected as a semi-finalist for the 2023 Songwriters Serenade competition, as well as being a finalist in the 2023 Grassy Hill New Folk competition hosted by the Kerrville Folk Festival.
