Incorporating country-rock, folk, and blues into her own ’70s-influenced singer/songwriter pop, Arielle is also a guitarist with an eclectic résumé. Among her credits are touring in CeeLo Green ‘s band, appearing as a guitarist on TV’s Nashville, and having a role created for her in the West End musical We Will Rock You by one of her guitar idols, Brian May .
Born in New Jersey and raised mostly in California, Arielle was singing with the Peninsula Girls Chorus of California at the age of five. She took up piano and trumpet before receiving her first guitar as a gift when she was ten. Garnering attention for her rock & roll chops by high school, she went on to earn a degree from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.
Arielle first played with CeeLo Green at Coachella in 2011, and soon signed a record deal with Open E Entertainment . She collaborated with producer/songwriters Red Decibel Music Group on her California EP, released by the label in 2014. The self-issued album The Whale followed in 2015. Arielle joined Green ‘s band again, this time on tour, before relocating to Nashville in early 2016. She released another EP, Interim, in January of 2017, following it with Interim II in May. That year, she also toured in support of Eric Johnson , who was featured on the title track of her My Gypsy Heart EP, released that September.
By then operating out of her own studio space, she continued to put out music at a quick pace, self-releasing the Mind Lion EP in February 2018 after kicking off a national tour in support of Johnson . The EP marked her Billboard debut, where it charted in the Top 20 for independent albums and reached number four on the Heatseekers Albums chart. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
